Main Character

So.... woodland animals are the 'cool kids' of the animal world at the moment, appearing on T-shirts and graphic design everywhere. But I am a big fan of woodland animals they have that english, homely feel about them.

I wanted to have my own style to my characters, I had a doodle and this is my final idea ... meet, 'squirrel'.

The colour of my characters will be quite important, I will need them to stand out enough in the woodland greens and browns but still keep the vintage aesthetics I imagined.

... The Showroom i will quite happily see 4/5 films a month, specially on a Wednesday, as i use my orange 241 text and then student discount, £2 each.. yes please.

General overall idea

I knew quite early on what sort of thing i wanted ...


Location: Outdoors
I want to set myself a challenge, I figured since it was my last year I should do something different. Shooting something outdoors will bring lots of challenges, such as lighting, wind, rain, transport ... but then also give a impressive art and visual appearance. 


Story: Childlike, nostalgic, sad 

My favourite animations are the ones I relate to, bring a tear to my eye or really truly make me laugh. So I want to take this approach with this project, maybe even get a child to tell my story for me, to give it that bit more feeling.

Animals I feel a a lot easier to show my own style through then people, i'm much more of an animal person then people hehe
